In the world of chiptuning, we often refer to Stage 1, Stage 2 or Stage 3 of tuning. But what does this actually mean?
Stage 1, 2 of 3 tuning are the different tuning methods, each which extra more power from your vehicle's engine. The stage you choose depends on the chiptuning requirements for your vehicle's engine. Fortunately, we can tell you more about the various different tuning options, allowing you to choose the most suitable option for your vehicle.
Stage 1 tuning
With Stage 1 tuning, the engine management parameters are adjusted. The ignition, injection and turbo pressure are matched to each other, resulting in more power and flexibility in the engine. This is always done entirely within the original safety standards. Your vehicle's power will also be measured on our test bench, both before and after.
Stage 2 tuning
With Stage 2 tuning, the same actions are performed as with Stage 1 tuning. The difference, however, is that adjustments are required to the car parts. This usually involves adjusting the exhaust system. Alternatively, it may also involve adjusting the downpipe, racing catalyst or placing a larger diameter. These adjustments ensure that the vehicle is able to handle the extra power.
Stage 3 tuning
Stage 3 tuning is applied when Stage 1 or Stage 2 tuning does not deliver the power one hopes for. With Stage 3 tuning, a larger turbo or other injectors and/or intercoolers are installed to handle the higher power.
